We all k now those who freely speak their mind usually gets themselves or others in trouble. If you are one that bites their tongue as the expression is used will keep you out of trouble. This Proverbs talks about holding your tongue, a guarding of what you say or don’t say. Remember Jesus is only one righteous so we ought to see Him and be covered in His blood that was shed on Calvary. If you follow mercy and righteousness (Things of God, Gods way) you will find life, meaning Heaven. It says its better to live in the wilderness than an angry bitter woman, just like being on the house top or the roof. Proverbs 21:23Īgain this Proverb talks about living with an angry woman. Needs are essentials to live by, like food, water, shelter and such. People tend to buy things they want and not need, leaving their needs left behind. If you over spend on them instead of your needs than that can lead you poor too. On the other hand it also takes money to fulfill those pleasures. If you love pleasures, I believe things that fill the flesh and not the Spirit, sin, will cause you to be poor, maybe not poor on earth but in other aspects. If you wander away from Gods understanding it will lead to death. If you practice evil destruction will occur. Proverbs 21, talks about bribes being bad as well. I believe Proverb 21 tells us if we tune out the poor persons plea and cries that when it comes time for your need no one will hear your plea or cry. This knowledge and wisdom is a godly wisdom and knowledge. Proverbs 21, also tells us that when a wise person is instructed they gain knowledge. Wicked and evil things are sin, things that go against the Will of God. If you are a wicked person you will desire evil things. But this was saying that if in that house you had a bitter or nagging woman in it, that it was more comfortable to live on the roof than inside with that woman. But the inside of the house was better to suited to live. It was possible to build or make shelter on top of one. Better to dwell in a corner of a housetop, Than in a house shared with a contentious woman.In ancient Israel they had flat roofs. Verse 9, Proverbs 21:9, has been a popular verse too. If you are pure and honest then your way is right. If you are a guilty person you are perverse, meaning you are deceptive, a cheat or liar. Death in this case meaning hell, everlasting death and torture. This is not how we are suppose to gain anything by. Proverbs 21, again talks about lying and deception. That is because we are to do good to the enemy and show love. I believe this could mean putting down or doing bad to evil. A proud heart it also says, showing a lack of restraint. A haughty look meaning being prideful or showing a proud look. ![]() Proverbs 21, tells us some things considered sin. Proverbs 21:3 tells us the God will accept us being righteous over any sacrifice. ![]()
